Boeing 737-MAX8 Artwork K65779GKN, an aerospace supplier based in the United Kingdom, announced they will open a facility for final assembly and painting of 737 MAX winglets in Sumner, Washington. Proximity to the Boeing Renton plant and access to customized training for new employees were key factors in opening the facility. GKN joins over 1,350 aerospace companies in Washington’s end-to-end aerospace supply chain. In Washington State, these companies are able to draw from the highest concentration of skilled aerospace workers in the U.S.
