healthcare technologySince the pioneering days of the Northwest and 30 years before Washington statehood, the founders of today’s Providence Health & Services were building the first community hospital and serving the unmet health care needs of the early settlers along the Columbia River. Today technology and healthcare are becoming increasingly entwined.  Providence has created their own in-house innovation center spearheaded by two veterans of the Washington tech sector. This marriage of healthcare and technology has resulted in the spinoff of it’s first tech company.  They listened to the problems doctors felt were impeding their work and developed a tech solution that could create more efficiencies in providing services to patients. Xhealth, their newly launched cloud-based platform, connects doctors, vendors and patients to simplify sharing of information and individualized services.
