Two Washington State companies, Wave and Centris, are partnering to create the first transpacific broadband data center and fiber hub in rural Western Washington. The Asian and US markets are big users of cloud computing and data storage. This new IT infrastructure will provide a direct connection across the Pacific with faster data transmission to the cloud. The data center facility will be environmentally friendly by recirculating cooler outside air to maintain the optimum temperature for servers instead of using energy consuming air conditioning.
