With Washington State’s emerging leadership in space exploration, it’s not surprising that the first time in nine years the NewSpace conference moves outside of California it should convene in Seattle. The depth of aerospace and software expertise in Washington makes the state the focal point of private sector space innovation. Companies like Blue Origin, Vulcan Aerospace, Planetary Resources, Tethers Unlimited, Spaceflight and Aerojet Rocketdyne are redefining and commercializing space exploration.
